Chennai, Tamil Nadu Aug 29, 2024 (Issuewire.com) - SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Ramapuram campus, proudly celebrated the success of the Indo-Global Winter Internship 2023, an international academic initiative organized in collaboration with MIT Square, London. The event marked a significant milestone in the institution's ongoing efforts to provide students with global exposure and hands-on experience in cutting-edge fields for UG students from the Computer Science and Engineering Department at SRM Institute of Science & Technology, Ramapuram Campus. Dr. Mithileysh Sathiyanarayanan, Founder and CEO of MIT Square Group, initiated the global internship to provide a global tech platform and prepare students for future challenges.
The students' dedication throughout the internship led to numerous awards, publications, and patents worldwide. To celebrate these accomplishments, the department hosted a success meet at the MLCP IoT Lab, SRMIST, on August 29, 2024. The event showcased the outcomes achieved at prestigious foreign universities.
The success meet began with an address by Dr. K. Raja, Head of the CSE Department, and featured special acknowledgment of Mr. Cheran Gopinathan, Vice President - Tamil Nadu, MIT Square. The honor was presented by Dr. M. Sakthi Ganesh, Dean of Engineering and Technology, alongside Dr. Balika J. Chelliah, Vice Principal - Administration at SRMIST, Ramapuram, Dr. Manju A and Ms. Kavitha D.
The second-year students who completed the internship in foreign countries were Sanjay, Manikandan R and Anubhav Pariya (Australia), Akash Rao, Neha, Sudheesh and Abdur Rehaman (Japan), G Raagavi, A K Aishwarya, G Prashanth and V A Savitha, (USA), Rushikesh Joshi, Muthu Vishal, Roshini R, Varsha Karthikeyan, Alan Christofer, Jayna Mukesh and Mohammad Saquibdaiyan (Brazil), Harika, Mahalakshmi G, Sudeeptha, Srinath V, Saikiran Reddy, R Gautham, Akhil Jeevan and Akshay (Nigeria), M Vinay, Raghavi M and Kalpitha S V (London).
The third-year students who completed the internship in the foreign countries were Trusha V, Shwetha R, Yogesh, Nadhini, Vasupratha and Pramika (Turkey), Praveen Ram R, Lingesh P, Prasath Ram R and Ashvin Ram S (USA), Sivabala S, Shreya K, Dinesh S and Thanush S (Portugal).
A total of 29 second-year and 14 third-year students were awarded certificates for their successful internships. Notably, Ms. Trusha V received the Best Team Leader Award for her exemplary leadership, while the Best Team Award was conferred upon G. Raagavi, A.K. Aishwarya, G. Prashanth, and V.A. Savitha for their outstanding collaborative performance.
As the celebration came to a close, the atmosphere was filled with excitement and anticipation for the future.
