New York City, New York Aug 19, 2024 (Issuewire.com) - The 2024 Conch Shell International Film Fest (CSIFF) today announces its line up of innovative narrative, experimental and documentary short films. This years festival submissions doubled from its previous years, and they are screening more films than ever before. Live screenings will take place at Regal UA Midway Cinema in Forest Hills, New York October 10-13, 2024, and for those who arent able to attend in person events select films will be available for film lovers to view and vote Oct 10-13 VOD on Entertainment Oxygen (aka EOFlix). Conch Shell IFF showcases the best of emerging Caribbean heritage artists from the U.S and Internationally.
Conch Shell International Film Fest 2024 (CSIFF24), presented by 501c(3) nonprofit Conch Shell Productions Inc., provides a unique platform for filmmakers of Caribbean heritage to showcase their work to an enthusiastic audience. The focus of this years festival: films that awaken.
The festival will feature a varied group of independent filmmakers from the USA, Canada, France, Haiti, Guadeloupe, Dominica, Jamaica, Trinidad & Tobago, Puerto Rico, Curacao, United Kingdom, Barbados, Antigua and Barbuda, Suriname, and the United Kingdom during its four-day run. Jury Award winners will be announced during the Award Ceremony on Sunday, October 13th. The Audience Choice Award winner will be announced on Oct 22 following online VOD audience screening and voting.
Conch Shell International Film Fest is a reunion that celebrates, illuminates, and uplifts both the artists and attendees, and this year we have an exciting presentation of diverse filmmaking that showcases Caribbean and Caribbean diaspora culture. Over the course of four days in New York City, followed by seven days of virtual programming we invite audiences to explore the art of storytelling through a unique perspective, said Magaly Colimon-Christopher, Fest director and Founder of Conch Shell Productions, Inc .
