His dedication to patient care and medical excellence has earned him numerous accolades, including the prestigious Charles C. Guthrie Award from the Vascular Surgical Society and the Charles Johnston Award from the Detroit Surgical Association. In 2011, he was honored with induction into the Maquet Cardiovascular Beating Hall of Fame, a testament to his contributions to the field.

Dr. Fietsam is also a member of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M) and holds certification from the American Board of Addiction Medicine, further solidifying his expertise in addiction treatment. Beyond his professional achievements, Dr. Fietsam is a devoted family man. He is married to Jennifer and they are proud parents to seven children: Dominique, Desiree, Courtney, Mac, Elle, Paris, and Paige.
